Formation of ஈகார வரிகச உயிர்மெய் எழுத்துகள்.
Review the formation of கீ- பீ and continue with the formation for
ம் + ஈ = மீ….......... ன் + ஈ = னீ
Write the formation once in notebook.
Lessons-15 and 16 மீ to னீ in Textbook- Asked kids to read the formation and words.
Discuss the words and English meaning with the students, so that kids could easily relate.
சீனி, நீலம், தீ, இளநீர்.
Lesson-17 திரும்பப் படித்தல் - Asked kids to read sections-1 & 2.
Emphasize on குறில்-நெடில் எழுத்துகள் & சொற்கள்.
Review that only the first letter changes and other letters remains the same for the words.
Egs. விதி - வீதி, வசி - வாசி - Explain the meaning of the words in English, so that students could relate to it

SECTION 1 - LEARNING
Learn lessons-15 & 16 (மீ-னீ).
Learn words for the letters to tell in class.
Learn the song- “சிங்க வேட்டைக்கு போகலாம்’”.
Memorize the song and it will be asked in weekly review.
Video: Theme-Animals Session-1 Segment-2.
Song is also present at the front of the handbook.
Write the formation of the letters (மீ-னீ) once in notebook.
ம் + ஈ = மீ..... ன் + ஈ = னீ
Do பயிற்சி-6 in exercise book.
Complete pages-12 & 13 in handwriting book
Circle the உயிர் எழுத்துகள்(vowels), underline the மெய் எழுத்துகள்(consonants) and draw a triangle around the உயிர்மெய் எழுத்துகள்(vowel consonants) for the following words.
மீதி, தீபாவளி, இளநீர், வீதி (This activity is available for print under the title Weekly Homework Exercise Printouts at the front of the handbook)

After reading, fill the details in the reading log, get parents sign and bring it to school next week, to get teachers sign.

Do the conversation, activity and submit the video to the teacher before the next week class. Students, learn a new word and its meaning for any one of the letters மீ, யீ, ரீ..,,,,,.றீ, னீ other than the book to tell in class.
Students, please take crayons / colored pencils, hat along with paper/notebook, pencil and eraser for next two classes (Week-16 & Week-17).
