Vanakkam 🙏Happy Pongal to all! 🌾

Every profession is important. However, Thirukkural dedicates an entire chapter of ten couplets to highlight the importance of agriculture and farmers—the backbone of society. In that spirit, the Pongal Speech Event 2025–26, held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Chattanooga Tamil Palli, was a celebration of Tamil culture, confidence, and the incredible potential of our young learners.

What began as a simple idea—to encourage children to express their thoughts—grew into a memorable event filled with preparation, passion, and pride.

Event Preparation & Teamwork

The success of this event was the result of careful planning and collaboration. From organizing parent connect sessions and sharing guidelines to coordinating schedules and event logistics, every step was supported by a close partnership between parents, teachers, volunteers, and the school administration.

Parents played a crucial role by motivating their children, helping them practice, and staying actively engaged throughout the journey. Our teachers went above and beyond—guiding students, reviewing content, and ensuring that every child felt prepared and confident. Volunteers and the school administration provided seamless behind-the-scenes support, helping the event run smoothly during regular school hours.

Extraordinary Performances by Our Kids

The heart of the event was, without question, the children. Each speech reflected creativity, clarity of thought, confidence, and a deep connection to Pongal and Tamil culture. From fun and imaginative topics to thoughtful perspectives and expressive delivery, the performances were truly extraordinary.

Every child who stepped onto the stage displayed courage and growth. Watching them articulate their ideas and engage their audience was a proud and joyful moment for our entire community. Personally, I was amazed by speeches that ran confidently to the maximum allotted time, sweet and simple presentations, fresh perspectives, and even lengthy original poems—all delivered with remarkable confidence.

Fair Evaluation Process

A panel of 13 teachers independently evaluated each speech based on predefined criteria to ensure fairness and transparency. The scores were then tallied collectively to arrive at the final results. This method ensured balanced judgment while upholding the spirit of encouragement and integrity.

Event Results

We are delighted to announce that the results of the Pongal Speech Event 2025–26 have been finalized based on the consolidated scores from our judging panel. The children gave truly outstanding performances, and the teachers thoughtfully and generously evaluated each speech, making the competition extremely close across almost all grades.

Awards will be presented across grades in recognition of the students’ effort, creativity, and presentation skills on Friday, February 06, 2026. Every child who participated deserves appreciation for their enthusiasm, confidence, and courage to speak on stage.

  • Volunteers, for stepping up and supporting the preparations. Special thanks to Swathi, Partha, Thansir, and Mega for your support both behind the scenes and on the event day

  • Social Media Team Volunteers, thank you in advance for your efforts in preparing and sharing the event content across platforms. The links will be published in upcoming weekly blogs once the content is finalized.
