If the given word is குறில்(short sound), circle the word and change the word to its நெடில்(long sound)
If the given word is நெடில்(long sound), underline the word and change the word to its குறில்(short sound)
Learn the words and their meaning from dictation word list-1
Write the words & their meaning twice in notebook
Reading list & Reading log: Practice reading from the Reading list – Week-2 with correct pronunciation. Fill the details in the reading log, get the parents sign and bring it to school next week, to get teachers' signs.
Write the bottom part of page-3 in the handwriting book
Do பயிற்சி-2 in Exercise book
Conversation: வார்த்தைச் சங்கிலி (Word chain)
Students play the game வார்த்சதச் ைங்கிலி with 1 or 2 family members (parents/ siblings/ grandparents/ cousins/ relatives/ friends…).
Students start a word in Tamil and one of the family members says a Tamil word related to it and then another family member says a Tamil word related to that and then the student says another Tamil word related to that and the chain goes on.
Students play with 1 or 2 persons, not more than that.
Minimum 5 Tamil words have to be said by the student.
For example: Student starts the game with the word பழம் – and the chain can continue as – இனிப்பு – மாம்பழம் – வாழைப்பழம் – வாய் – பல் - நாக்கு – பேசு – உண்மை – காந்தி தாத்தா – and so on
Do the conversation, activity and upload it as video to the teacher before the next week class
Important Points
Prepare for Test-1: Project 1 “என்ணைப் பற்றி“ (About Me). Due on Week-4 (Sep 05, 2025) (30 Marks).
Draw and color picture of yourself and your favorite things or cut and paste a picture of yourself and your favorite things. Minimum three pictures. Say 5 sentences or more in கபச்சுத் தைிழ். Write your name in Tamil on the Project paper.
Marks will be given based on:
Project done neatly on the paper. (Avoid doing project on a crumpled paper) – 3 Marks
Name written in Tamil on the project paper – 3 Marks
Minimum three pictures – 9 Marks
How clearly and fluently the kid presents the project in Tamil in the class and should be able to answer in Tamil for any
questions asked by the teachers relating to the topic – 15 Marks
Student came to class on project week, did not present the project and presented the project only on next week, then he/she will be graded for only 75% marks.
If the student submits the project after two weeks, he/she will not be given any marks.
